These terms govern your use of the EverAnswer website and the messaging programs operated through our system by the contractor businesses we serve. This page is provided for informational purposes and is not legal advice.
1. The service
EverAnswer provides an AI receptionist and messaging system to home-service contractors. When you call or text a business that uses EverAnswer, an AI assistant may answer, respond to missed calls by text, and help book appointments on the business's behalf.
2. SMS program terms
- Program name: EverAnswer business notifications (operated on behalf of the contractor business you contacted).
- Program description: appointment confirmations, appointment reminders, missed-call follow-ups, no-show recovery messages, and review requests.
- Message frequency varies depending on your interaction with the business (for example, one confirmation plus reminders per booked appointment).
- Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan.
- Opt-in: you agree to receive these messages by providing your phone number and giving consent — verbally on a call, by texting the business, or through a web form.
- Opt-out: reply STOP at any time to cancel. You will receive one confirmation text and no further automated messages from that business. To rejoin, follow the business's opt-in instructions.
- Help: reply HELP for assistance, or contact us using the details below.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the website or messaging system, attempt to disrupt the service, or use it for unlawful purposes.
4. AI assistant disclosure
Calls and texts handled by EverAnswer are handled by an AI assistant that identifies itself as a virtual assistant. It does not provide emergency services: in an emergency (for example, suspected gas leak), hang up and call 911.
5. Limitation of liability
The website and service are provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, EverAnswer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or the messaging programs.
6. Privacy
Our handling of your information is described in our Privacy Policy, including the statement that mobile information is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
7. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Effective date" above will reflect the latest revision.
